So I finally did it. I bit the bullet and signed up for my first 10k! I'm doing the Monument 10k in March. There is no backing out now, otherwise I would've wasted $50 (30 for registration and 20 for the "technical" shirt). Now I just have to start training for it. I signed up under the 70- 75 minute wave to give me plenty of time to finish (but I plan on running it much faster). Hopefully, this will be a nice start to my resolution of being able to run a half marathon early next year.
On the home front... My oldest is officially 7! Where did the time go?! She's such a big girl now, but she will always be my baby. The house is still destroyed. Slowly but surely, we'll get there. I need to be a little better about keeping up with things. Maybe I should write a schedule for cleaning?!
How I do it all (or try to) while being my fabulous self!

Welcome to the New Year
So I started last year (well in March) with a blog. I got three posts in and then quit. I just didn't have the time to commit to it. But it's now 2012 and I am beginning again. So lets get a recap of last year, shall we?!
When we last spoke (wrote/read), I was waiting for my new niece to arrive. Well shes here. Miss Amelia Michele (Millie) came into the world on March 24, 2011. She is beautiful and such a doll baby. I love her to pieces. Peres Ann finished her first year of school. Now she's half way through with 1st grade and she'll be 7 next Monday! Seriously, where did the time go. Palmer is growing like a weed. She's now 16 months and such a ham. We finally got a nanny (love you Nanny Pat). I couldn't make it through the day without her. My hair is slowly growing back. My hubby still hates it, but as it grows out, he likes it more.
I've decided that in 2012 I'm going to only do resolutions for the house. Each month I plan on doing 1 project for the house to slowly make it my own. I created a pin board on pinterest specifically for this task. For January I would like to paint the kitchen cabinets (black on bottom, white on top). I'm really tired of the "builder" style house. I want a HOME! Oh, I did make 1 resolution for myself. I have a friend who runs the Disney Princess half marathon every February. I want to run it next year (2013) with her. So I am giving myself 1 full year to train for it! I've never been much of a runner (me + running= sheer agony), but I figured it's a lofty goal and I'm going to try my darnedest to accomplish it..
